Richard Seidel is an abstract figurative painter who captures groups of people enjoying themselves.

His subjects come from people he puts into his sketchbooks in the countries he visits for artist residencies or in St. Pete, FL, where he lives. Richard is one of my favorite people - he is always positive and uplifting, which I really appreciate. I’m used to artists grousing and he never grouses.

I filmed Richard Seidel in his St. Pete art studio in May 2021, making him a little video to say thank you for being a motivating and generous friend. It’s the least I can do.
